Inori Technologies and Services wants cancellations and refunds to be clear. This policy applies to all payments collected through our website, invoices, and Razorpay checkout — including custom software / consulting fees and digital product licences — whether the payer is in India or overseas.
Refunds, when approved, are always returned to the original payment method used for the transaction (source refund). We cannot credit a different card, bank account, or wallet.
1. How to cancel or request a refund
Email kingjoshua@inori.services with the subject line “Cancellation / refund request” and include:
- Your full name and the email used at checkout or on the invoice.
- Razorpay Payment ID (for example,
pay_xxxxxxxxxxxx) or invoice number. - What you purchased and the date of payment.
- The reason for the request.
You may also call +91 93420 24186 during Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 18:00 IST. Written email is required so we have a record of the request.
We review complete requests within 3 working days and, if a refund is due, initiate it within 7 working days of approval.
2. Custom software and consulting
- Before work starts. If you cancel after paying a deposit or invoice but before kick-off (no material work commenced, no repository or environment access granted), we will refund the amount paid for that engagement, minus any non-recoverable third-party costs we have already incurred at your written request (for example, paid software licences or cloud resources).
- After kick-off. You may cancel the remaining unused portion of an engagement. We will refund prepaid fees that correspond to work not yet performed, after deducting fees for work already completed, time already booked, and third-party costs incurred. Completed milestones, accepted deliverables, and hours already worked are not refundable.
- Fixed-price milestones. A milestone that has been delivered and accepted (or deemed accepted under the SOW) is not refundable.
- Change of mind after delivery. Custom work that has been delivered as specified is not refundable because it cannot be resold.
3. Digital products and software licences
- Before access is provisioned. If payment succeeds but we have not yet sent credentials, a licence key, or onboarding access, you may cancel for a full refund.
- After access is provisioned. Once login credentials, a licence, or downloadable materials have been issued, the purchase is generally not refundable, because the product is digital and access cannot be reliably returned.
- Recurring subscriptions (if offered). You may cancel a renewal at any time before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund the current paid period unless we have failed to provide the service.
- Our failure to deliver. If we cannot provision the product you paid for, you will receive a full refund of that payment.
4. When we always refund
- Duplicate charges — you were charged more than once for the same order because of a processing error.
- Failed delivery despite successful payment — the amount was captured but we cannot deliver the service or product, and we cannot complete delivery within a reasonable time.
- Unauthorised transaction — after reasonable verification that the payment was not made by you.
5. When we do not refund
- Change of mind after custom work has started or a digital product has been provisioned, except as stated above.
- Failure to use a product or service you have been given working access to.
- Delays caused by missing information, access, or approvals from your side.
- Requests made more than 14 days after the transaction date, unless we failed to deliver or a longer period is required by law.
- Chargeback or dispute already raised for the same payment (we will handle that through the card network instead of a parallel refund).
6. Refund timelines after we process
Once we initiate a refund in Razorpay, the time for the money to appear depends on the original payment method:
- Credit / debit cards (including international cards): typically 5–10 working days.
- UPI: typically 2–7 working days.
- Netbanking: typically 2–10 working days.
- Wallets: typically 0–3 working days.
These windows are set by banks and card networks, not by us. We will email you when the refund has been initiated, with the Razorpay refund reference where available.
Razorpay does not charge us a separate fee for a normal refund. Transaction fees and taxes already paid on the original capture are generally not reversed by the payment gateway. Unless the refund is due to our error or a duplicate charge, those gateway fees may be deducted from the refundable amount.
7. Incomplete payments and abandoned checkout
If you close Razorpay Checkout before completing payment, no charge is captured and you do not need to do anything. An authorised payment that is not captured is auto-voided by Razorpay according to its rules (typically within a few days).
8. International payments
The same cancellation and refund rules apply to international card payments. Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency / method. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own FX conversion on the refund; we do not control that rate. We do not refund currency-conversion differences.
